Welcome to Paroled!!!

Born to a couple of drug addicts who didn't want her, and raised on the street, Alex Winter was shuffled around more than a deck of cards until she finally bailed from the System and joined the local gang, Brace. A place where she finally felt needed and had people she could trust. But, good things never last. Betrayed and set up, Alex's life came crashing down as Brace was swarmed by cops. With most of her friends and associates now killed in the ensuing firefight or in prison along with her, things were pretty bleak. After a year in prison, Alex is finally out on parole, and ready to set her life straight; but with no one to turn to, nowhere to go, and not a penny in her pocket, can she really make something of herself?

Sorry about the hiatus.

This is only temporary while I work on my Game Development portfolio. Admission in to this program is intensely small compared to the number of applicants; I need to make sure I'm one of them.

D-D-Double Update!!!

That's right. Not only did I pop off a page on friday, but today (Sunday) I worked vigorously on my comic (because I have nothing else to do... sshh) and popped off two MORE pages! BamBam! Double Page update for you!

No dip pen after all

The ink demolishes my poor 8.5" x 11" printer paper. I think I'll have to hold off on using the dip pen until I get some better quality art boards. :/

Switching to a Dip-Pen

Hey all, for Page 13 of Paroled!!! I'm going to try my hand at using a Dip-pen so I can try for a bit of variance with the line, and also get the style more closer to that of Manga.

Now, I'm relatively inexperienced with a dip-pen, so forgive me if page 13 ends up a tad wacky and tacky; but comments and critiques focused on the inking portion of page 13 would be GREATLY appreciated.

Look forward to Page 13 late tonight/early tomorrow.

Paroled!!! Premiere

So, so many hours sunk into these first four pages I'm about to upload on here...Each page had an estimated 6 hours of work put into them, not including the touch-ups done to them once they're scanned onto the computer.

This comic represents my current artistic skills and comic knowledge. I hope to deliver to you, the reader, an entertaining, funny, yet strangely close and realistic story of life, love, living, and overcoming one's past.

Enjoy, and don't forget to drop a comment or two!
